These barbecue prototypes were featured in an exhibition entitled “A Matter of Taste,” a show of new appliances and cooking utensils at the Canadian Crafts Museum.

One constructed of metal and one of concrete, these were touted as the “the fondue pots of barbecues,” ideal for the cooking of skewered delectables. We asked the viewer to envision balconies of the 21st century city glowing amber with thousands of Wibachi. It’s summer and it’s beautiful.
